Wooden tsuba (garda) for bokken - Natural Wood Robinia

Tsuba - a protective element for wooden bokken made of wood, designed to protect the hand from the opponent's hitting the blade. Made in the classical Japanese form in the form of a four-leaf petal. Can also be used with plastic saya. In some Japanese schools fencing tsuba is an integral part of the bokken. It is clamped in front with a rubber stopper.

Robinia wood (White Acacia) has high strength characteristics, wear resistance significantly exceeding that of oak and ash. The color of the tree is yellow or olive green, the fibers are straight and sharply noticeable. Acacia shows all its advantages as much as possible, because it can serve for many years, withstanding high loads, without being erased and without losing the original attractiveness of the texture. 

*The  black tsuba is treated with a special multilayer black impregnation and oil.
