Bokken of one of the most famous kenjutsu fencing school in Japan - Yagyu Shinkage Ryu. Speed and mobility were one of the main indicators of the sword techniques at the Yagyu Shinkage Ryu school. The bokken is light and thin with a slight deflection and slightly increased handle length, well suited for beginners or for high-speed strike training. Bokken is processed with natural oil, which protects it from moisture and dirt.

European Ash has fairly good strength properties for its weight, and is also shock resistant. Its tensile strength and fold strength exceeds the strength of white oak wood. It is elastic, wear-resistant and more viscous.
