Short pair sticks - used in many martial arts: Chinese, Japanese, as well as Filipino (Arnis Kali Eskrima). Made of solid wood - white hornbeam, which allows you to withstand heavy loads. Training with two sticks well develops hand coordination and brain hemispheres, forms a good reaction and skills, contributes to better possession of one-handed weapons.
European Hornbeam is one of the woods called “ironwood". It's hard, takes sheering forces well, and is almost exemplary for practice weapons.
